On Saturday, February 14, downtown Miami and Brickell will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with flavor and style. Area 31, the new restaurant on the 16th floor of the Epic Hotel, delivers guests a dramatic menu of fresh, premium seafood prepared with a Mediterranean influence. The restaurant, which debuted December 15, features seafood from its namesake region Fishing Area 31, the ecologically sound marine waters of the Western Central Atlantic including the entire Florida coast, Central America and northern South America, with its menu created by rising star John Critchley.
Executive Chef John Critchley has prepared two four-course pre-fixe menus for Valentine’s Day. The For Him menu includes a Seafood Ceviche (marinated seafood with key limes and chili), Cavatelli (roasted tomato and parmesan broth), Beef Short Ribs (aromatic braised with toasted faro) and Chocolate (chocolate timbale, rosemary scented chocolate and whole milk ice cream). The For Her menu includes Tuna (sashimi style, yellow pepper and green apple), Ricotta Gnocchi (sweet pea broth and piave cheese), Yellow Eye Snapper (parsley root puree and green goddess) and Raspberry (frozen raspberry timbale, framboise and chocolate sorbet). The menus will include a Warm Weather Whites wine pairings to accompany each dish.
Price is $95++ per person and the pre-fixe dinner menus will be available from 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Guests can also choose items a la carte.
