Saving Energy in Miami Beach

August 16, 2008 by CityGirl

The City has entered into a contract with Ameresco, a top ranked company in the environmental industry, to conduct a detailed engineering study of the City’s energy and resource practices. The study will analyze Miami Beach facilities including parks, parking facilities and beaches, as well as its systems 4 including water distribution, water meter reading and billing, wastewater collection and pumping, stormwater collection and injection well systems, and street lighting. The study will look at feasible energy conservation measures that can be implemented in the near future and alternative energy generation projects, such as solar and wind power alternatives.
