Residential Storm Debris Pick-up in Miami Beach

The courtesy storm debris residential pick-up for Tropical Storm Fay has completed.   If you still have large amounts of debris, a bulky-waste debris pick-up needs to be scheduled. If the amount is small, you can be place the vegetation with regular trash pick-up if properly bundled or bagged.

Miami Beach Hispanic Heritage Month Awards

Miami Beach Weathered Tropical Storm Fay Well

An update from the City of Miami Beach on tropical storm Fay… Miami Beach weathered Tropical Story Fay well, with no reports of flooding and only minor debris. City crews began debris cleanup early this morning. The City will be open for regular business tomorrow, Wednesday, August 20.

Green Efforts in the City of Miami Beach

MB Magazine reports CITY TAKES THE ‘LEED’ ON GOING GREEN… To implement green building practices, the City’s Green Committee is recommending requiring LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) silver certification for both new construction and major renovations of existing buildings larger than 10,000 square feet.
